Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WelcomeMats ("we", "our", the "app"), operated by Holden Holt, handles information when you use the app. We built WelcomeMats to be privacy-respecting: we do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and an authentication credential to sign you in and secure your account.
• Content you create. The property details you enter — such as property name, address, Wi-Fi network and password, check-in information, local tips, contact details, and any photos you add — are stored so we can generate your guest pages and printable placards.
• Purchase status. If you buy WelcomeMats Pro, we store a flag indicating your account is unlocked. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
• Basic technical data. Standard server logs (such as request timestamps) used to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect location data, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use information

We use the information solely to provide and maintain the service: to authenticate you, save and display your properties, generate your guest pages and QR placards, process your one-time Pro purchase, and respond to support requests.

Guest pages are public

The guest page you publish is available at a public link and to anyone who scans your placard. Only include information you're comfortable sharing with your guests. You control what appears on the page and can edit or unpublish it at any time.

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us run the app, and only as needed:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and backend hosting for your account and content.
• Netlify — hosting of published guest pages.
• Apple — processes in-app purchases and app distribution.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for advertising.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account and content until you delete them. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app: open Account and tap Delete account. You may also email us to request deletion.

Children

WelcomeMats is intended for property hosts and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can review or edit your content in the app, delete your account, or contact us with any privacy request. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
